Lion Walk Church held its Christmas Tree Festival from Saturday 3rd December to Saturday 10th December.

Saturday 3rd December: there was a Christmas Market in the church hall, with stalls selling many unique items for that different Christmas gift. Charity cards can be bought from Cards for Good Causes [until 20th December] and Traders Fair, selling fairly traded goods from around the world, was also open.

Wednesday 7th December: light lunches were served in the church hall from 12.15 pm followed, at 1 pm, by “Words and Music For Christmas“, which was held in the church among the Christmas trees, presented by the Revd Ken Forbes, minister of Lion Walk Church, and the Honorary Borough Organist of Colchester and Director of Music at Lion Walk Church, Dr Ian Ray.

Any donations from the Festival go to Colchester & Tendring Women’s Refuge and the Colchester Nightshelter.
