Worship

Sunday morning worship in Church is at 10.15 am.

There is no regular evening service, but there is a weekly podcast-style online service available to all accessed via this YouTube channel.

Unless notified otherwise, services are taken by our minister, the Revd Ken Forbes.

Normally the first Sunday morning of each month is a service of Holy Communion – the Lord’s Supper.  The bread and wine are offered to all who seek the strength and comfort of the Lord Jesus. At intervals through the year the children stay in the Sunday morning congregation for the whole service, sometimes for Communion, which they are invited to receive with their parents. (We serve gluten-free bread and non-alcoholic wine at all of our communion services)

A printed order of service helps to guide each of us through our worship each week, with notices also printed at the end of the weekly Service paper.   A typical order of service is available to view here.

Examples of our more liberal-style of worship can be found on the Sermons page.

Our own and visiting lay preachers lead worship on several occasions each year. Members of the congregation normally read lessons.  The choir contributes anthems at morning services, a choral evensong once a year and a larger work, usually on Palm Sunday evening.

Our pew bible is the NRSV (New Revised Standard Version) and our hymn book is Rejoice and Sing.

More information about our music can be found on the Music for Worship page.

Details of all of our services will be posted in the Recent Posts below
